KENALI DIRI MU

Kala itu aku sedang berada di sebuah toko mainan anak-anak hendak membeli hadiah untuk sepupuku yang kebetulan akan berulang tahun. Sudut demi sudut mainan yang terpajang membuat ku sibuk untuk memilah-milah mainan apa yang cocok untuknya. Saat itu perhatian ku tiba-tiba saja teralih pada seorang anak kecil yang kebetulan tidak memiliki tubuh yang sempurna. Ia hanyalah seorang anak kecil yang sangat lugu. Ia masuk ke toko dengan berjalan hanya menggunakan satu kakinya saja dan yang lainnya dibantu dengan tongkat. Ia berjalan lirih sambil melihat ke setiap sudut ruangan dengan satu keinginan ingin membeli salah satu mainan di toko itu. Aku terus memperhatikannya dengan seksama. “aku ingin sekali membantunya meski sekedar hanya membelikan mainan untuk nya” ujar ku dalam hati.

Aku sangat prihatin melihat keadaan anak itu. Aku yang saat itu sangat merasa beruntung dengan kehidupan ku ini dan mulai berfikir untuk dapat menghargai setiap detik nafas kehidupan yang Tuhan boleh berikan untuk ku. Setidak nya aku ingin hidup ku ini berguna untuk orang lain. Setelah lama aku berfikir, tiba-tiba pikiran ku di kagetkan dengan suara yang cukup keras terdengar hingga membangunkan ku dari lamunan. Aku lihat pada saat itu sang pemilik toko berteriak keras pada anak itu . ia berkata “hey, ngapain kamu disini??” pergi jauh sana jangan ganggu para pelanggan-pelanggan ku yang ingin membeli !!!”. Si anak kecil tadi hanya bisa diam terpaku dan sangat terlihat oleh ku rasa takut di wajah nya setelah mendengar bentakan dari sang pemilik toko. Saat itu pun aku dapat ikut merasakan kesedihan anak itu, namun keberanianku saat itu belum cukup terkumpul untuk membelanya.

 Hingga samapi si pemilik toko itu mengusir anak itu dengan sapu sampai ia keluar dari toko. Aku yang melihat nya sangat marah dan merasa si pemilik toko ini benar-benar tidak punya kasih dan rasa prikemanusiaan dengan sesama . Akhir nya si anak tadi keluar dari toko dengan wajah yang sangat sedih dan kecewa namun satu hal yang aku pelajari dari sikap si anak ini adalah meski ia sudah diperlakukan dengan sangat tidak baik namun ia hanya menunduk dan tidak marah atau membalas sikap si pemilik toko tersebut. Aku mengikutinya keluar dan kutemukan ia sedang memeluk ibunya sambil berkata “ apa salah ku bu?” . sang ibu yang melihat semua kejadian nya hanya tersenyum dan berkata lembut pada anak nya “ tidak ada yang salah pada mu nak hanya saja mereka tak bisa melihat dengan jelas, mereka hanya melihat apa yang ada di luar dan tak bisa melihat apa yang ada di dalam.” Seketika itu si anak ini terdiam sejenak dan tersenyum, kemudian ia berkata “ya Ibu aku mengerti, sekarang tak perlu ku sedih dan kecewa lagi sebab aku sekarang dapat mengerti bahwa aku punya kemampuan diatas orang lain yaitu aku dapat melihat seseorang dengan jelas meski keadaan ku yang tak sempurna yaitu aku dapat melihat setiap orang tak hanya dari tampilan luar nya saja melainkan apa yang tersembunyi di dalam lubuk hati mereka.”

Saat itu juga aku menangis melihat nya . tanpa berfikir panjang aku kembali bergegas ke toko dan membeli beberapa mainan untuk nya dan untuk sepupu ku. Kemudian aku datang menghampirinya, memeluknya dan aku memberikan mainan yang tadi aku beli untuk nya sambil berkata padanya “ aku banyak belajar dari mu, terima kasih telah memberi banyak teladan untuk ku.” Dan mulai sejak kejadian itu aku banyak belajar dari anak tersebut tentang arti kehidupan yang sesungguhnya. Aku dapat melihat dengan jelas betapa kerendahan hatinya membuat ia bersinar bahkan lebih bersinar dari setiap kita manusia yang sempurna. Inilah realita kehidupan yang ada di zaman ini.  Bayangkan jika posisi anak itu adalah pada diri kita sendiri, apakah akan sekuat itu?. Jika kita masih belum bisa sekuat dan setegar anak itu maka sekarang tugas kita hanyalah bersyukur selalu atas semua apa yang sudah Tuhan berikan kepada kita. Jangan fokus pada kelemahan mu tapi berusahalah merubah kelemahan itu menjadi kelebihan bagi diri kita sehingga hidup kita dapat lebih bermakna dan bermanfaat bukan hanya untuk diri sendiri terlebih untuk orang lain.
